Visioning Workshop

Presented by

Richland Public Facilities District

&

Arts Center Task Force.

Our goal is to explore the potential construction of public facilities in addition to a Mid-Columbia Performing Arts Center in Columbia Park West.

Shaping the Future of Columbia Park West

We believe the future of the Tri-Cities is bright, and we want your input to make it even better. In addition to the performing arts center, we are considering a long-term plan to develop additional public facilities in the park, creating a comprehensive STEAM (Sciences, Technology, Education, Arts, Music) park. We want to know what facilities and amenities the people of the Tri-Cities would like to see in this space.

If you are interested in participating in this workshop please fill out the survey at the link below.

**Submitting this survey does not guarantee an invitation to participate in the Visioning Workshop. Due to limited capacity, invitations will be extended based on various criteria to ensure a diverse and balanced group of participants. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your interest in contributing to our communities arts vision.

Richland Public Facilities District

Public Facilities Districts are municipal corporations created by cities or counties and authorized by Washington State to develop, improve, and operate "regional centers" costing at least $10 million and serving a regional population. Regional centers can include performing arts centers, convention centers, museums, and sports arenas.

PFDs are responsible for improving their communities through the projects they oversee. The Richland Public Facilities District is comprised of five individuals who serve 4-year terms. Two are appointed directly by the City Council, and three are appointed through recommendation by local organizations. Large-scale, beneficial community projects like Arts Center Task Forces mission to build a performing arts center, are only possible with the assistance of Public Facilities Districts.

Arts Center Task Force

Arts Center Task Force (ACTF) is the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization working to build the Mid-Columbia Performing Arts Center (MCPAC); an 800-seat, state-of-the-art venue and gathering space that will provide a home for the numerous arts organizations already active in our community and advance the cultural and economic vitality of the Tri-Cities.

ACTF's primary objective is to build the MCPAC, and the bulk of our current work is focused on engaging the community in the necessary conversations about the need for the venue, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and supporters of our cause, and laying the groundwork to raise the estimated $81 million necessary for the project. Additionally, we provided resources and support for local arts organizations, including our partner companies (Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, Mid-Columbia Symphony, Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre, Mid-Columbia Ballet) and beyond.
